ÅF Offshore Race 2012 (the Round Gotland Race)
Preparations before the start of the Round Gotland race in 2009
Do you feel like some challenging sea racing? The start of the 2012 Around Gotland Sea Race, or nowadays the ÅF Offshore Race, is Saturday the 30th of June. This year the start takes place in the middle of Stockholm with a first stage to Sandhamn, most probably without restarting there, clockwise around Gotland and finishing at Sandhamn, preliminary Wednesday 4th of July.
If you provide the team, we provide the yacht, fully equipped in accordance with ISAF Offshore Special Regulations, i.e. the regulations applicable to boats participating in the Round Gotland race. We cast off from the Svinninge marina Wednesday 27th of June in order to get some training before we get to Stockholm. Before the race it is preferable to plan for one or two more training sessions, but this can be tailored in accordance with the composition of the team. Special terms and conditions apply to the ÅF Offshore Race (as opposed to the general terms and conditions of Hissa segel).

The pictures are from the 2010 Round Gotland Race. Weather conditions were marvellous and as you can see, the spinnaker served a large part of the race.
